South Hills Country Club Opens "Wi-Fi" Hotspot!

South Hills Country Club, located at 3047 E. Frontage Road, Franksville, WI, announced today the availability of their new free "Wi-Fi" Internet Hotspot service. South Hills Country Club caters to the public and provides golf outings as well as facilities for meetings, trade show, seminar, banquets, and weddings.

Country Club manager Tracy Jensen-Turner feels that the new service will allow business executives to keep in touch with the office/email while at the Club. It also provides an added benefit to those who rent the halls for meetings, seminars and trade shows. In addition, anyone wishing to stop by and use the service during the day is free to do so. We would love to have them stop by, get a bite-to-eat, get their email and surf the web.

The “Wi-Fi” Hotspot at South Hills Country Club can be accessed with any laptop or PDA (personal digital assistant) that incorporates the standard 802.11b wireless technology. Accessing the Internet is simple and the speeds are excellent (up to 1000K). The system receives connectivity via a high-speed microwave link provided by CyberLynk.

The “Wi-Fi” technology is very similar to using a cordless phone. If your computer or PDA device has wireless technology (802.11b enabled) and is within range of the “Wi-Fi” Hotspot, you can surf the web and access your email.
